More Super Heroes

I'm on a bit of a Super Hero theme here following the red and yellow mask I made for a friend...I thought I'd try a slightly more girlie version for my own little Super Heroes.....Super Hero Missy M and Super Hero Missy E....lots of Super Hero posing then took place.  Miss M's is bright pink and orange and Miss E's bright pink and green....

Super Heroes Missy M and Missy E....KERPOW!

Girl Super Hero sets with extra sparkles and Super Hero heart wands....not wholly sure Super Heroes normally have wands but hey, let's bend the rules a little.

Super Hero

A little friend of mine....who is two years old....has just become a big brother and I remembered stumbling across this sign ages ago and filing it away for future use....

It's just perfect and so I thought I'd see if I could make some sort of super hero mask for him.
Two colour reversible super hero mask and cuffs

Which super hero will you be?

...the mellow yellow, cool and relaxed super hero...

...or the fiery, red devil super hero

OK....so I'm now singing Bonnie Tyler style...."I need a hero, I'm holding out for a hero 'til the end of the niii-iiight, He's gotta be strong and he's gotta be fast, And he's gotta be fresh from the fight"....maybe time to stop now xx

Head in the clouds

A very good friend of mine recently gave birth to an extremely gorgeous little boy....what better excuse than to try out this mobile idea I'd had in my head and in my sketch book for a while.

Miss E has asked for one for her bedroom now so I'd better get on with that soon.

French Markets

Now I know we're officially in Autumn now with it's "seasons of mist and mellow fruitfulness, close bosom friend of the maturing sun"  (which is a season I love by the way) but I'm still hanging onto the last bits of summer and summer holiday memories...when on holiday I enjoy nothing more than exploring the local market...and this summer the market in Dinard in Brittany, France didn't disappoint....here are a few snaps...

This was also where, amongst other things, I picked up the lovely ditsy bias tape I used on Miss M's lunch box bag a shared in an earlier post.  New term...new lunch box

Mountain biking and raspberries

The weather forecasters warned us to make the most of the sunshine this weekend so out with the bikes and off to the woods to explore our favourite mounting biking trails, then back home for lunch and games in the garden, lovely family fun.

Stopping in a sunny clearing for some water....someone even managed to have a little snooze en route once we got out of the woods and hit the smoother ground.

Look which garden fairies have been picking raspberries.  They'd picked quite a good bowlful from the garden but by the time I'd got the camera out, only a few remained. Yummy!

New term...new lunch box

Miss M has been desperate to have a new lunch box with lots of compartments to put her lunch in....she had mentioned it several times over the summer and therefore (as her old JLS one had seem better days) I agreed.  A quick trip to John Lewis and voila...one new lunch box and one extremely excited girl.  Happy days!

As happy as Miss M is and as lovely as the lunch box is....I'm not sure it was the most practical of purchases...the compartments are too small to fit in an apple (one of Miss M's favourite fruits) or a Petits Filous, again a good lunch box staple for Miss M.....plus it has no handle by which to carry it to school!  So apples have been replaced this week by apricots, raspberries and strawberries;  Petits Filous by Frubes and using some lovely polka dot oilcloth from my stash and some cute ditsy bias tape picked up from a market in Brittany whilst on our hols, I've made Miss M a sweet little bag for her lunch box.
